Ingredients of BBQ Sticky Ribs

  1. It's 2 kg of pork ribs.
  2. It's 400 g of chopped tomatoes.
  3. It's 5 of garlic cloves.
  4. You need 100 g of soft brown sugar.
  5. It's 75 ml of maple syrup.
  6. You need 150 ml of ketchup.
  7. Prepare 150 ml of BBQ sauce.
  8. It's 150 ml of Honey Jack Daniels whiskey.
  9. It's 50 ml of cider vinegar.
  10. It's 2 tbsp of black treacle.
  11. It's 3 tbsp of soy sauce.
  12. It's 2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce.

BBQ Sticky Ribs step by step

  1. Crush the garlic cloves and add all ingredients apart from the ribs into a pan.
  2. Blend the ingredient until smooth.
  3. Marinate the ribs and place in freezer bags or containers and refrigerate overnight.
  4. Preheat the oven to 140c and place ribs into a roasting pan. Store remaining marinate for future steps.
  5. Cover with tin foil and place in the oven for 3-3.5 hours.
  6. Occasionally check the ribs while cooking and baste with some of the marinade.
  7. Heat remaining marinade on the hob along with any juices from the ribs on a medium heat to thicken.
  8. After the 3-3.5 hours transfer the ribs to the BBQ and apply the thickened marinade and cook until done (time varies on heat). Alternatively, increase oven temperature to 200c and cook for 20-30 minutes.
